ADQ Secures Majority Stake in AD Ports Group Following Successful Offer

Tue, Sep 22, 2026(2h ago)Business

ADQ has officially cleared all necessary conditions for its voluntary cash offer to acquire a larger stake in AD Ports Group, paving the way for the final settlement of the transaction. By offering Dh6.25 per share—a significant premium over the company’s recent trading prices—ADQ has successfully moved to increase its ownership from 75.42 per cent to 98.93 per cent. This deal, which follows an offer period that concluded on September 15, 2026, is expected to be fully settled with shareholders receiving their payments no later than October 9.

This strategic acquisition comes on the heels of an impressive financial performance by AD Ports Group, which recently reported an 88 per cent surge in quarterly net profit to Dh836 million. The company's robust growth across its maritime, shipping, and logistics divisions has bolstered its standing within ADQ’s broader infrastructure portfolio, which also includes key assets like Etihad Rail and Aramex. As the transaction reaches its final stages, it reinforces ADQ’s long-term commitment to expanding its influence over the UAE’s critical transport and industrial logistics sectors.
