UK and Gulf Leaders to Convene in London for Strategic Dialogue
On October 20, London’s Guildhall will host the UK-GCC Strategic Dialogue, a landmark gathering designed to strengthen economic ties between Britain and the Gulf states. Coming on the heels of the successful UK-GCC Free Trade Agreement finalized earlier this May, the event aims to move beyond policy and into practical implementation. The focus will be on fostering tangible partnerships in trade, investment, and technology, with the Qatar Ministry of Commerce and Industry recently joining a prestigious list of institutional partners, including the City of London Corporation and UK Export Finance.
The summit will feature a high-profile lineup of leaders, including GCC Secretary General Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi and representatives from major global firms like Revolut and the Muscat Stock Exchange. According to Carlos Martinez, CEO of The Business Year, the gathering is intentionally designed to bring together the key architects of future economic relations—government officials, corporate executives, and sovereign investors—to capitalize on the current momentum. Through a series of sessions on market access and bilateral investment, the event serves as a platform to translate the recent trade deal into real-world business growth.
