Gold Prices in Dubai Climb as Market Sentiment Shifts
Gold prices in Dubai saw a positive start this Tuesday, with the 24K variant opening at Dh523.25 per gram. According to the Dubai Jewellery Group, other karats followed suit, with 22K priced at Dh484.75, 21K at Dh464.75, 18K at Dh398.25, and 14K at Dh310.75. This upward momentum reflects a broader global trend, as spot gold edged slightly higher to $4,346.5 per ounce, bolstered by a dip in the dollar and cooling oil prices.
Market experts suggest that the recent easing of Treasury yields has provided much-needed relief for bullion, which often struggles when yields climb. Vijay Valecha, CIO of Century Financial, noted that falling oil prices, driven by stabilized supply concerns in the Middle East, are creating a disinflationary environment that favors gold. With consistent inflows into gold-backed ETFs and technical indicators showing a potential shift toward a stronger uptrend, analysts are viewing recent price dips as strategic buying opportunities for investors looking toward the long term.
