UAE Lottery Awards Second Dh30-Million Jackpot to Abu Dhabi Resident

Wed, Jul 8, 2026(45d ago)UAE

A 52-year-old Indian expat living in Abu Dhabi, Sunil Kumar Sadasivan, has officially been named the latest recipient of the UAE Lottery’s massive Dh30-million jackpot. After matching all seven numbers during the Wednesday Lucky Day draw on July 1, Sadasivan admitted he was in complete disbelief when he first checked his ticket. His win marks the second time the top prize has been claimed since the revamped Lucky Day format was introduced earlier this year, following the June victory of Tayab Khan, a Nepalese security guard who split the same prize with four friends.

As the country’s first federally licensed lottery regulated by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority, the UAE Lottery continues to draw significant interest. Beyond the recurring Dh30-million grand prize, the draw also awards a Dh5-million second prize and three guaranteed Dh50,000 prizes every Wednesday and Saturday. With tickets priced at Dh50, the lottery emphasizes responsible gaming practices for residents aged 18 and older, with upcoming draws scheduled for 9:30 pm.
