CBSE Extends Deadline for Answer Sheet Access

Sun, May 24, 2026(90d ago)UAE

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially pushed back the deadline for students seeking access to their scanned evaluated answer books. Originally set for Sunday, May 24, the cutoff has been moved to Monday, May 25, providing students with a brief extension to submit their requests.

This decision comes amid growing concerns following the board's transition to the new On-Screen Marking system. As this marks the first year teachers have assessed digital scans on computer screens rather than traditional physical papers, many students have expressed dissatisfaction with their results. This uncertainty has led to a significant surge in requests for review, as learners seek to verify their scores and potentially pursue re-evaluation.

While the current window for requesting scanned copies has been adjusted, the board noted that details regarding the formal re-evaluation process will be released shortly. According to an official circular, the submission portal will remain active for at least two days after the final scanned scripts are successfully distributed to all applicants, ensuring students have sufficient time to assess their work before proceeding with an appeal.
